Ch:1

The sound of battle echoed across an open and grassy field. Swords on armor and flesh, blood spraying across the green grass. Men fighting for their countries, the two countries at war. a squad of ninja from the hidden leaf village are moving in order to defeat both sides and resolve the conflict since they were being paid by a neutral village that was the battleground for the other two countries. The squad was composed of: Kakashi Hatake, Might Guy, and Asuma Sarutobi. They jumped through the trees and halted when the sounds of battle suddenly stopped after the sound of rushing wind. They looked around cautiously. "I don't like this." Kakashi said wearly. "I feel it too." Guy said equaly as cautious. "What do we do?" Asuma asked as he watched the rear of the group. "We have no choice, let us continue." Guy said with a twinkle in his eye. "Guy wait!" Kakashi urged reaching out but Guy was already half way to the field. "Damn." Kakashi cursed and jumped after him. Asuma sighed as he went after them.

They came to the field and couldn't help but gasp out loud. Every one of the soldiers were dead. In the center of carnage was a five year old boy standing with two fingers in front of his face and his left arm straight and down at his side with his palm facing the ground. His eyes were closed but Kakashi knew what this kid was. "Hyuuga." He muttered. The kid suddenly fell over on the ground. Guy jumped out and sprinted towards him. "Guy! Damn it stay put for once!" Kakashi yelled and walked out with Asuma. "What's wrong with that guy?" Asuma asked with a sigh. "I dunno." Kakashi said scratching the back of his head. When they got there Guy held the child in his arms. The child's black hair fell down to about half way between his shoulders and butt. The veins on the sides of his head slowly went away as his Byakugon was deactivated from sheer exhaustion. He wore the traditional robes of a priest which was strange for a Hyuuga. He wore no shoes and no headband. "Should we take him back to the village?" Kakashi asked. "I don't think we should." Asuma said staring at the boy's face. "We must bring him! It is our duty as-" Kakashi cut off Guy's heart felt speech, "What do we do then?" He asked. "I will take him under my wing." Kakashi and Asuma stared at Guy. "What?" Kakashi asked in shock. "I'll take him as my own son. I'll train him every day and he'll become the best..." Kakashi tuned out Guy as he imagined the poor boy's fate if that happend. "Feel the burn of the wooden dummy! If you cannot make 400 kicks to the side of the head then it's 500 leg squats!" Kakashi shivered. "I'll do it." Guy and Asuma looked to Kakashi. "Are you sure Kakashi?" Asuma asked. Kakashi nodded. "Yeah I'll be fine. Besides I can find him a trainer or do it myself. I've got a place with some extra room. I'm the ideal candidate." Asuma nodded and Guy looked at the kid one more time. "Very well Kakashi, just one thing..." Kakashi looked at Guy. "I get him on my squad." He said with a smile. Kakashi sighed but nodded. "Alright then, I'll take him with me." Guy nodded and handed him gingerly over to Kakashi. Kakashi held him in his arms and stared down at him. "Let's head back." Asuma said, Kakashi nodded in return and they jumped off towards the village and the boy's new destiny.

Ch:2

Kakashi sat by the side of the boy's bed waiting for him to awaken while reading his book. The boy moaned and shuffled. Kakashi looked up but he was still out. Damn, taking a while, must've used up a lot of chakra. Kakashi thought as he read his book again. "Who are you?" Kakashi looked up and saw the boy staring at the ceiling. "Ah welcome back, I am Kakashi Hatake. And you?" He was silent a moment. "My name is Hakaku Hyuuga." Kakashi nodded. You are a Hyuuga. "W-Where am I?!"Hakaku asked in wonder. "Well, the hidden leaf village." Kakashi said scratching the back of his head. "Wow!"Hakaku said looking out the window. "Yes well I'll show you around the village then, follow me." Kakashi said standing up and putting the book away. Hakaku arose with Kakashi and followed him outside. "And here we have-" Kakashi looked down and saw Hakaku cling onto his leg. "Hakaku?" He asked. Hakaku looked up and jumped back. "S-Sorry, I've never seen so many people before other than on the battlefield." Kakashi nodded. "Now here's the academy where you'll be studying." Kakashi said as they came up to the front gate. They stood in the courtyard as the children were broken off into their little groups. They all stopped and stared at Hakaku. He stood straight and proud. Kakashi quietly chuckled. "Who's that?" Some quietly chattered amongst themselves. "Alright, let's head back then." Hakaku nodded and walked with Kakashi.

(Hakaku pov)

I slumped down as soonn as we turned the corner
. I hate being around so many people! Kakashi was silent as we walked. "Thank you for taking me to your home, I shall no longer be a burden." I said bowing down. Kakashi stopped by me andjust looked at me. "You can stay if you wish, actually your gonnahave to.You're too young to live on your own." I nodded hesitently and continued on with him.

We got to his house and he showed me the backyard. My eyes lit up. He had training equipment all over. "C-Can I use it?" I asked pleadingly. He chuckled and nodded.I walked out tothe center and got my hands in the jutsuposition. "Byakugon!" I yelled as the veins in the sides of my head throbbed. I sawin 360 degrees. "Rotation!" I yelled as I spun around channeling chakra throughtall my body. A circle of it formed around mewith a four foot radius. (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiusgo here for a diagram) More! More! I channeled more through my body and it expanded four feet. There was wood breaking and splinters flying when I skidded to a stop. I grunted and fell to my knee panting. Kakashi ran over. "Stop using so much chakra at once!" He sternly ordered. I pushed away. "I-I cannot succeed if I don't push myself. I-I need to push myself to the limit!" I yelled panting. Kakashi chuckled as I fell over.

Ch: 3

I groaned and sat upright. "Feeling alright?" I looked up at Kakashi and nodded. Then I stood up but grunted and fell over. Kakashi caught me right before I fell down to the ground. "T-Thanks." I muttered and stood up. He nodded and set me down on the bed. I got ready to stand up again as Kakashi came towards me. I pushed him back and shakily arose. "S-See?" He shook his head. "Why do you try so hard to do something as small as this?" I began walking off but he grabbed my shoulder. "Why?" He asked again. I sighed and shrugged off his arm. "Because if not me then who? Who else would do anything to help out the little people? Besides I..." I trailed off and looked to the side. "You?" Kakashi asked. "I have to protect someone special." I muttered. "A Hyuuga?" Kakashi asked as we both began walking to the street. I slowly nodded avoiding his gaze. "Who?" Digging too deep. "Someone." I muttered as we walked down the street, I began feeling the strength coming back. He chuckled as we both stopped. "Ready for school?" I gulped and walked into the courtyard. Kakashi poofed off as I continued. I saw a boy in orange clothes sitting alone on the swing. I scanned the crowd and saw a group of girls staring at a dark haired boy in blue clothes. Then people saw me and began whispering. In an instant everything stopped and everybody stared at me along with the boy on the swing. I looked around at everyone studying them closely. Suddenly I froze as I saw a blue haired girl with white eyes staring from the back. I stood there and stared at her. Her face began turning red and she hid behind someone. I didn't even blink. C-Could it be that she- Suddenly a tan man walked outside. "Alright, get to class!" He yelled. I looked around as they went inside but I didn't see her. I-It must've been... but-"Hey, come on!" He yelled to me. I nodded and began walking towards the entrance. When I was next to him he reached down his hand. "I'm Iruka." I nodded and shook it. "Hello Iruka-sensei." I said and walked inside.

When I got in the classroom I sat in the back next to a boy with black hair which was to my left with a girl that had blonde hair to my right. I sat there and stared at the black board. "Alright class, we have a new student today, arise Hakaku and introduce yourself." I stood up and searched the room.
Not here, she- "Well?" Iruka asked. I looked up at him. "I am Hakaku Hyuuga." I started and heard people beginning to whisper. "I only dream to be stronger to protect someone special to me." I said and sat down. Iruka slowly nodded and turned to the board. The two next to me didn't say a thing to me. "Tai jutsu, what is it and what forms do you use? Hakaku?" I silently sighed. "Tai jutsu is hand to hand combat, I use my clan's special technique infused with my kekai genki the b-" Suddenly I noticed the blue haired girl. I froze with my mouth open. "Yes?" Iruka asked. I only saw the back of the blue haired girl's head. "I-I've got to go..." I muttered and got ready to stand. Suddenly there was a poof. "Wait." A man said and put his hand on my shoulder. I looked up and gasped as I saw Hiashi. "I-" I started put he grabbed my collar and we poofed off.

Ch:4

Hiashi flung me into the center of a dimly lit room. "It occurs to me that you went with the monks and did not get the seal in place. This ends now." He said gravely and began walking towards me. I held my ground ready for a fight. "Do you really think that-" Suddenly there was an explosion as the door flew away from the wall. I covered my face and heard a chirping. I looked up and saw Kakashi standing there with a ball of lightning in his hand. He also had his headband above his eye. "Sharingon?" I muttered. "Let him go." Kakashi ordered with the utmost seriousness. Hiashi stood in place for a full minute. "Fine. Take the boy." He spat and lifted me by the collar. Then he threw me at Kakashi. Kakashi quickly deactivated the lightning and caught me. "You alright?" I nodded as he began jumping off. "Thank you." I muttered to Kakashi. He nodded and with one hand brought his headband back over his eye. "Father." I muttered after that. I noticed Kakashi's eye begin to sparkle. "Kakashi?" I asked looking up at him. He shook his head and wiped his eye. "Y-Yeah, I'm fine." I nodded smiling.

We got to the gate and he set me down. "Bye." Kakashi said and poofed off. I blinked a couple of times in confusion. I turned to walk into the village and froze as I saw the blue haired girl peeking from behind the wall. She suddenly went back into hiding. I began walking towards the wall slowly. She suddenly popped out as I was four feet away causing us to both jump and let out a small yell. "S-Sorry." I said panting. She nodded beginning to turn a slight red. "A-Are you alright?" She quietly asked looking at the ground. "Yeah." I said getting my breathing under control. "I-I'm Hinata." She quietly said turning a brighter red. "Oh, I'm... uh, I am..."
Damn it."Hakaku?" I half jumped and nodded. "It's nice to meet you Hinata." I said reaching out a hand. She stared at it and slowly reached out. "I-It's nice to meet y-you too." She said and grabbed my hand as we shook hands.

(Kakashi pov)

I stood on the tree branch beside Guy and Asuma. "He's doing good Kakashi." Guy said watching Hinata and Hakaku. "Yeah but he almost got the seal. Be careful." Asuma scolded. I rolled my eyes. "Like you haven't almost-" I stopped myself. "What? Gotten a seal laid on the extremly talented Hyuuga in my group? No I really haven't almost had that happen." Asuma shot back. "Listen, Choji's probably eaten five plates of bbq already. I've gotta go." With that Asuma jumped off. I looked over at Guy as he gave me the wink, thumbs up, and smile with a twinkle. I sighed.
Oh god. "I've gotta go too." I said and jumped off. Guy's head hung. "Why does noone ever talk with me?"

(Hakaku pov)

I walked through the streets of the village with Hinata talking and laughing but she was very quiet.
I can't believe I finally found her... I remember when I found her while on my spiritual journey with the monks only a year ago but yet it feels like so much longer ago.

I panted as I finished walking the two miles for the first half of the day. I stopped and sat down with my robes that were two sizes too big for me. I heard someone walking up to where I was. I looked up and saw a pale man wearing purple eye shadow and had snake eyes. "Greetings." I said smiling. He smirked at me. "Greetings, a Hyuuga monk? Curious." He reached down but did not stop instead he began going towards my neck. My eyes went wide as he began to choke me and lift me off the ground against the tree. Suddenly a girl walked up and began striking him in the arm. The man dropped me and jumped back but she went after him. "Enough children. I shall leave then." He spat and jumped off. The girl walked up and reached down towards me. I grabbed her hand and stood up with her help. I saw she had a blue swoop back styled hair. "T-Thank you." I said and breathed in. "Why did you not defend yourself?" She asked coldly. "I do not believe in violence, I am a monk." I said smiling and bowed. "You do not fight?" She asked with her voice softening. I nodded. "Violence is not always the answer." I replied. "You never fight?" I shook my head then held up a finger. "There is only one time, to protect someone special to me no matter what the cost to my body." She slowly nodded. "W-Well goodbye." She said with a smile and walked off. I nodded also smiling and waved.

We stood in front of her house. "Well goodbye Hinata." I said smiling. She waved and turned but I whispered, "I found the exception." She stopped a moment turning a slight red then walked inside. I turned and walked off towards Kakashi's house. I found her at last.

Ch:5

(Haru pov 9 years later)

I groaned and opened my eyes. "Happy fourteenth birthday." Kakashi said as he walked into my room. I nodded and sat on the edge of the bed. "God, it seemed like yesterday..." I muttered. "Did you have that dream of the day Hiashi took you?" I nodded. "Except I didn't feel the fear like back then, weird." I said standing up. Kakashi nodded and went into the kitchen. I went over to my drawer and looked through what I had. I scratched my hair as a giant patch stood striaght up. I picked out a dark grey t-shirt and blue pants. Then I winced as I grabbed my right arm. "Damn it." I muttered. "Your arm and leg again?" Kakashi asked as he stood in the doorway. "Yeah." I muttered. "You know it was from pushing yourself you permanantly damaged your muscels and chakra vessles so don't-" I pointed at him with anger. "Don't you lecture me old man." Then I went and sat down on my bed. Kakashi sighed as I picked up the chakra infused bandages. I rolled up my sleeve and held it up with my mouth. I put the beginning of the bandages on my shoulder and held it down with my thumb, then I began to wrap my arm in it. "Listen, I'm sorry I-" Someone knocked on the door. Kakashi walked off. I got down to my elbow when suddenly. Hinata walked in. I stopped and looked at her. She looked at my red arm and leg, they looked like they were burned from lack of chakra and damaged muscles. "H-Hinata?" I muttered as I let my sleeve go. "H-Hi Hakaku." She said smiling slightly. I immediatly covered myself with the blanket looking away. "I didn't want you to see me like this." I said looking to the side. "It's common with Hyuuga that's what's happened to Neji." I looked up at her. "I-I could help you i-if you want me too." She said quietly looking away and blushing. "Thanks... can you help me with my arm?" She nodded and slowly came towards me. When she close enough I handed her some of the roll that I cut off. She took it and helped me wrap it up as I wrapped up my leg. Once we finished I stood up and stretched. "Thanks Hinata." I said with a smile. She nodded looking away. "W-We should get going, the test is soon." She said. I nodded as we began walking off. "Good luck with the test to-" Kakashi tried but I slammed the door closed.

We walked to the academy in silence as I stared at the ground. "A-Are you feeling alright?" Hinata asked. "Fine." I muttered. She looked away. "I-I'm sorry Hinata I-" She suddenly turned to me. "Why don't you let it go? It was so long ago now, make up with him." She said in a slightly pleading voice. "Why?" I asked simply. "Because you haven't been the same since five years ago!" She suddenly yelled out. I stared at her a minute. "Hinata..." She looked down. "Sorry I-" I chuckled. "Maybe you're right." She stared at me while I shrugged. "Thanks, ready?" She nodded with a smile as we walked on.

We got to the academy and my heart was already pumping adrenaline throughout my body. We went into the classroom and took our seats. "Alright class our final exam will be..." A fight, a fight, a fight please! "A fight." I jumped up and cheered. Luckily almost everyone else did. "Let's head outside."

When we were outside we formed a line down the grassy field. "Alright first up is Naruto vs. Shikamaru." Shikamaru let out a giant sigh as well as Naruto. "Can't I just-" Iruka cut off Shikamaru. "No!" They both walked to the center of the field but only Naruto got into a fighting stance. Naruto smiled and sprinted at him yelling but suddenly Shikamaru was behind him, kicked out his leg, caught his neck, and threw him across the field. Everyone was amazed. "A-Alright." Shikamaru yawned and laid down in the grass by the line. "Next up is Sasuke..." Sasuke, you little mother f- "And Hakaku." I froze. I can really face him? I hope I don't kill him. I walked into the center of the field and got into my gentle fist stance. He stood there with his hands in his pockets. "Start." Iruka announced. "You can make your final move." Sasuke said in a bored voice. I smiled. "Your going to regret that prick!" I yelled as I ran at him. Kick to the face. I ducked under his kick and grabbed his leg. He froze as his eyes went wide. I threw him into the air and jumped up. "Byakugon!" I yelled as my veins in the sides of my head bulged. I concentrated and began striking away at his chakra points. He grunted as I hit one above his belly button. Punch to the right side of the face followed by a right kick. I grabbed his fist as he brought it forward and kicked away his kick. I brought his face up to mine. "I can read your every move!" I yelled smiling as we continued falling. I began striking his chakra points so fast my arms were blurs. He wincedd as I circled around to his back shutting down his chakra network. Then I circled around to his side and brought my foot around and slammed it into his stomach sending him flying into the ground creating a crater. I landed ontop of him and did a backflip off of him. My Byakugon went away as he laid there. "Sasuke?!" The over obssesive idiotic girls yelled. "I wonder if he's still alive." I muttered as I walked over and bent over as I put two fingers up to his neck. There was a poof as I was dragged into the ground.

(Hinata pov)

I gasped as Hakaku was dragged into the ground. "H-Haku?" I whisered. It was a full twenty seconds when suddenly we all felt a rumbling under the ground. The ground broke open in the crater and I saw a giant blue bubble.
I-It can't be! Then I heard, "Rotation!" Hakaku... Sasuke went flying out of the hole and landed next to me with smoke rising from him and he had tares all over his clothes. Hakaku slowly climbed out of the crater stumbling to stand up. He stood up but slumped over. W-What is this... feeling? I put my hand over my racing heart. "The winner is Hakaku Hyuuga." Iruka announced as Hakaku walked over panting. He sat down next to me and scratched his head. "Damn, that was fun." He said smiling. I chuckled and smiled back. "Next up is Hinata Hyuuga against Nej-" Suddenly the hokage poofed in as my heart stopped."Attention! We have a situationwith the land of waves, so as of now you are all Gennin!" Everyone cheered even Hakaku. I suddenly felt weak and began to wobble. I felt someone grab my shoulders. I focused my eyes and saw Hakaku.

(Hakaku pov)

"You alright?" I asked Hinata. She slowly nodded. I stared into her eyes and felt my heart jump. "You sure?" I asked. She nodded again. "O-Ok then." I said and accidently wavered. I stood there a moment then looked at my hands and quickly took them off of her shoulders. "S-Sorry." I said and immediatly turned away. "Hakaku are you... blushing?!" Naruto yelled out laughing. "S-Shut up!" I yelled and struck Naruto once in the shoulder then again at the base of the neck and shoulder. Suddenly Naruto fell over on the ground and began drooling as he snored. I smiled and made sure Hinata was at my back. "Get your headbands." Iruka ordered. I went up and grabbed one then quickly went back. I tied it around my forehead and touched it with my finger. "Hakaku?" I turned to Hinata. "How's it?" She asked. I looked at it shining from around her neck. I smiled. "Nice."I began to feel my face heat up so I turned around. "I-I'm gonna head home, I'll see you tomorrow." I said and began walking. "Remember the teams will be organized tomorrow!" Iruka announced.

Ch:6

(Hinata pov)

I walked through the streets aimlessly.
Am I so weak that I almost faint at the thought of fighting Neji? I wonder where Hakaku is... I went towards Kakashi's house. When I got there I knocked on the front door. Kakashi opened it. "Oh hey Hinata, what's up?" He asked. "Um, hi. Where is Hakaku?" He scratched his head. "Well it's about twelve so he should be at the library better be quick though he's going to try training soon." I nodded and walked towards the library.

When I got there I went inside and saw Shikamaru sitting at one of the four tables drooling as he slept. The tables were in the middle of the building with all the shelves around it. Sakura went around collecting a giant stack of books. I saw a foot high wall of books at a table. I walked over and saw Hakaku sitting there. He turned a book sideways and the picture unfolded. "Interesting." He muttered as he stared intently at it. I began to turn red and turned to leave. "Hinata? What's up?" (That's what Kakashi said! almost) "Want to have a seat?" He asked motioning to the chair across from him. I nodded and sat down. He closed the book and set it down. The title read 'A medical guide for ninjas' I let out a small sigh of relief. "I... do you think I'm weak?" I asked looking up at him. He chuckled. "Hinata... of course not, you just lack confidence. In fact, you could probably beat me." He said smiling.
B-Beat him?He chuckled standing up. "I'm sorry but I've got to go train I'll see you around Hinata." He said and walked off. I stood up and began following him. Beat him... I could never do that, could I?

(Hakaku pov)

I made sure I was far away from the village before I stopped and went to my training spot. When I got there I made sure all the dummies were in place surrounding me. "Byakugon!" I got into the gentle fist stance. I breathed steadily and concentrated. I reached into my bag and brought out a kunei knife. I threw it straight up in the air and made hand signs. "Shadow kunei jutsu!" I yelled as there was a poof and thousands of knives were directly over me. they began falling towards my head as I began spinning. "Rotation!" I yelled as a blue chakra bubble formed around me. The kunei hit the bubbled and froze in place for a moment then they went whooting in all directions beheading every one of the dummies. There was only one left. I ran up to it and began striking it where chakra points would be in a person. But I kept missing them. Then with one strike my finger wasn't locked so it bent backwards. I jumped back grabbing it and fell over. "Damn it! Why can't you do it!" I screamed as I laid on the ground. I began standing up panting from using so much chakra at once. I heard someone walking towards me. I looked over and saw Neji walking up. "You. Why are you here?" He asked sternly. "Because I can be." I shot back. "Leave." He ordered. "Why the hell wouldI do that?" I challenged. "Are you looking for a fight?" He asked glaring at me. "How about it?!" I yelled. I saw Hinata walk towards us. "What are you guys doing?" She asked looking at us. "Leave Hinata." Neji ordered butI held out my hand. "She can stay if she damn well wants to." He activated his byakugon. I activated mine. "Wait!" Hinata yelled looking from one to another. I got into the gentle fist stance with Neji. "Hinata you should stand back." I said as Neji and I glared at eachother. Then we both jumped at eachother yelling.

Ch:7

Neji stepped to the side as I jumped at him. But as I went by him I put my foot behind his knee and yanked it. His knee buckled as I did a flip in the air and skidded to a stop. He got back into his position. I jumped far over his head and brought out my kunei. I threw it and made hand signs. "Shadow kunei jutsu!" Hundreds of them appeared over Neji's head. "Rotation!" He yelled spinning around sending them all over as I fell towards him. Five hit me in the chest as he continued the Rotation. There was a poof and the kunei dropped to the ground. Neji skidded to a halt and looked around. A hand popped out of the ground and made a chop at the back of the same knee I got with my foot. It buckled harder and caused him to fall. I popped out of the ground and struck him five times in the back by his spine still in mid air. I dropped down in front of him and kicked him under the chin causing him to fly up. I began striking his front in a flurry of movements. Suddenly he caught my arm and threw me back. At the same time we both got into the eight trigrams stance. Then at the same time we yelled, "Eight trigrams, sixty four palms!" We both jumped at eachother and began striking eachother in a fury. "Two palms!" We yelled and both spun inacircle in the same direction and struck eachother again. "Four palms!" We both scooted to the left and hit eachother. "Eight palms!"We both were sent skidding back then we locked eyes and jumped into the air. While we were up we continued hitting eachother. "Sixteen palms! Thirty two palms! Sixty four palms!" We both were sent flying back. We did a back flip and skidded to a halt. Then we sprinted at eachother yelling and bringing back our right arms with our palms out. We hit eachother's palms causing us to be blown back from the compression of the chakra since when you use gentle fist you use chakra with your blows. I coughed as blood splurted out. Nejistumbled over and pinched together his index, middle finger, and thumb. Hebrought them back and thrust themtowards my neck but Hinata jumped in and grabbed his arm right before he was about to strike my neck and kill me. He shook her off as he stood up straight and deactivated his byakugon. "Pathetic." He said and walked off. I laid there staring at the sky as Hinata bent over me. "Are you alright?" She asked."See what I mean Hinata? You can easily beat me." I said chuckling. She shook her head. "No, I couldn't." I coughed as my finger twitched. "Hinata don't doubt yourself, you are an amazing person you could do it." We both turned red at the same time. Whoops, gotta remember to think before I speak. "Can you help me up?" I asked. She nodded and put my arm around her shoulders. We both arose. "Thanks Hinata I've got it." I saidand stood on my own. I put my hands in the jutsu postition and refilled my chakra. "That's better." I muttered and stretched. "Hinata, I want to show you something."I said and led her on.

We stopped and a beautiful pond with greenish water. Trees surrounded it and there was an overgrowth above it that blocked the sunlight. But a beam shined through in the center. "Would you like to meditate with me?" I asked her turning. "Meditate?" She asked.I nodded and began walking out towards the center of the water. Then I turned and saw Hinata staring at the water. "I don't think I can." She quietly said. "Hinata, don't worry." I said and walked back as I reached out. She took my hand and slowly put her foot on the water. It stayed on top. Then she began walking beside me. "This is something the monks taught me, you let the chakra flow through you but you have to dispense it to stay ontop of the water too. So Hinata, what was life like with the main family."I asked. Suddenly there was a giant splash as she fell through the water. I held on tight to her arm though and reached in with the other. "Hold on!" I muttered and grabbed ahold of her collar. I yanked her up with all my might. She panted as I held her above the water in my arms. "You alright?" I asked. She nodded catching her breath. "Alright we'll do this another time then." I said and began walking back to shore. "You sure you're alright?" I asked Hinata seeing she was falling behind. "Yeah just a little tired." She replied. I got down on my knee with my arms out behind me. "Get on." I said simply.

We got to the village gate and I sat her down. "Do you want some ramen?" I asked turning to face her. She smiled and nodded.

We got into the ramen shop and ordered our food. Once it came I began gulping it down. Hinata just stared at her food. "Hakaku?" She asked. I looked over at her slurping some long noodles into my mouth. "Can you train me?" I dropped my chopsticks and sat there with four noodles in my mouth, then I bit it to cut them off. I swallowed it and turned towards her. "Me?" I asked in shock pointing to myself. She nodded. "I-Um... alright then."

Ch:8

I stormed into the house and saw Kakashi sitting there reading his perverted book. He looked up at me, away from his book. "Hakaku?" He looked at his clock hanging on the wall. "It's almost eight, where have you-" I just walked past him and went into my room. Then I slammed my door closed.

I leaned against the wallandslumped down on the ground with my head in my hands.
T-That bastard... he beat me... noone has beaten me before. But he could do it so damn easily! I slammed my fist into the ground. "Bastard." I muttered with hatred. That promise I made back then... I thought back a year or so ago.

I kicked the training dummy a final time. Naruto walked over. "You're still training?" He asked. I nodded. "I'm confidint that I'll win again in fact I am so confident that whenever I lose I'll tally the marks right here." I said pointing to my right arm with a smile.

I shakily brought out my kunei and held it in my left hand. My hand shook badly. I slowly brought it over the bandages and pressed it down slightly. I brought it down the center ripping the bandages. They dropped to the floor around me, I shakily held the kunei just above my arm. I slowly brought it down to my skin and put pressure on it. Blood slowly oozed out and left a trail as it slid down my arm then dripped onto the floor. "Hakaku? Are you still awake?" Kakashi asked standing by my door. "Y-Yeah!" I muttered. I heard his footsteps fade away as I slowly brought the kunei down my arm about an inch or so. ThenI stopped and pulled out the kunei. I grunted and covered my mouth with my left hand as I dropped my knife. Damn you Neji!

Ch:9

The next day I sat up and blinked a few times. I was still sitting against the wall. I looked down at my arm and saw the cut. It's not going to heal since my skin's all but dead here. I stood up and began walking towards my dresser. "This'll do." I muttered pulling out a white shirt with white shorts. (All hisshirts are t-shirts) I sighed and went out the door towards the bathroom making sure my cut was covered. Kakashi satat the table snoring with the book on his chest. I went into the bathroom and turned on the water. I let it heat up as I stared at my reflection in the mirror."Pathetic." Neji... "Bastard!" I screamed and punched the mirror creating giant cracks. I saw his face in every shard. "Hakaku are you alright?" Kakashi asked fromoutside. "Yeah." I muttered. I heard a knocking from the front door but ignored it.

(Kakashi pov)

I opened the door and saw Hinata standing beside some boy who looked oddly familiar. "Yes Hinata?" I asked already knowing what she wanted. "Is Hakaku here?" She asked. "He's in the shower right now, your welcomed to wait inside if you want." I said and saw her turn red. "O-Ok." She waved the boy inside. He had shoulder length brown hair and bandages on both his arms.
Hmm, Hyuuga?I've got a bad feelingabout this. I went and sat at the kitchen table with them andpulled out my book.

(Hakaku pov)

I turned off the water and dried off myself. Then I got dressed and put on my bandages. I sighed and walked out the door. When I got out into the kitchen area I froze as I saw Hinata sitting with Kakashi. "Hakaku!" She said cheerfully. I smiled and gave a slight wave still standing in place. "What's u-" I saw a boy lean forward out of the shadows. He was also a Hyuuga. My smile slowly faded away as
every possibility ran through my head about them. (Like with all males) "This is Tasogare... my boyfriend." She quietly said. (Thoughtthis was a romance between them eh? I can't blame you. If you want me to change this just contact me and stuff)I stood there. I twitched as my world shattered to pieces right then. I noticed Kakashi put his book down quietly so noone else did notice. The boy smiled and stood up. "Nice to meet you." He said cheerfuly and held out a hand. "I-I've got to go." I whispered and walked outside. Once I was out there I slowly walked down the street.

(Kakashi pov)

I put my hand in my face and let out a quiet sigh.
Just what he needs. He was only starting to recover from that one time. (From what Hinata and Hakaku talked about in chapter 3?) He's going to be crushed.

(Hakaku pov)

I continued walking through the town with the same twitch in my face as it was blank. "Hakaku?" I turned around and saw a short girl who was up to mychest. She black hair and black robes. "Who're you?" I asked looking down at her as she came up to me from across the street. "You don't remember me?! I'm Yume Uchiha." Yes the one from the other stories. I stared at her a moment. "Y-Yume?! What're you doing here? We met when we were three!" She shrugged. "And you haven't grown a bit." I said chuckling. She slapped me outside the head causing me to fall over. "I have too grown! J-Just not in height." She said looking away. I laughed again as I stood up. "Ha, where?" She punched me in the gut causing me to slam into the wall. I caughed and fell on my knees. "You still pack a punch." I said smiling. She walked over and held out a hand. I grabbed it and stood up. "Wanna talk?" She asked.

We sat ontop of and aqueduct and watched the sun set. We were silent for a while. "You
have grown Yume." I said smiling. She turned red and looked down. I was unphased. "I-" I froze. "N-No." I muttered and jumped up. "No!" I screamed. Yume looked up. "What's wrong?" I sighed. "I missed seeing who's squad I was on!" I yelled. "You're on Kakashi's team." I looked down at her. "Y-You saw the roster?" She nodded. "Cause I'm on your team!" She said smiling. I laughed and jumped down. "Do you want me to walk you home? It can be pretty dangerous around these parts." I said chuckling. "Yes it's so dangerous in the suberbs of the leaf village." Yume said giggling. "Never know." I said shrugging as we both jumped down to the street and began walking. She shrugged. "Alright then." We continued down the road until we got to her house. I noticed the way was very familiar. We both stopped. "This is it." We both stood in front of eachother as the stars shined overhead. "Well goodnight." I said smiling. She nodded. "Well I'll wake you up tomorrow." She said and went inside. I stood there a minute staring at the door Wait, shedoesn't know where I live! I sighed andthen I turned to leave and realized. I lived right next door to her! I shook my head and went inside. Kakashi sat at the table reading as I stepped over to my door. I stopped right outside it not turning. "Kakashi?" He looked up at me. "I forgive you." I went inside and peeked back before I closed my door. I saw a tear slide down his face as I shut my door and went to sleep.

Ch:10

"Hakaaaakkkuuuu, Hakkkakkkkuuuu." I groaned as I slowly opened my eyes. I saw Yume standing above me. I yelled as I jumped a foot off my bed. She giggled as I sat upright. "Yeah?" I asked. "Look!" She shoved a paper in my face. I grabbed it and looked at it. "A play for the adademy?" She nodded. "Tryouts are today!" I rolled my eyes. "Come on!" She urged pulling my left arm. "N-No wait!" I yelled but too late. The cover flew off my right arm and leg showing my marks and two cuts on the top of my arm. She stared at them. "Those cuts... you did them?" She asked looking up. I looked away. "Why?" She asked. "For everytime I lose." I muttered. "One was against Neji and the other... the other was against fate." She looked at me confused. "I lost someone close to me, just yesterday." She slowly nodded. "Where are your bandages?" I looked to my left and got them off the table. Then I unwravled it covering my arm. AfterI finished I went to my leg. Then I looked at her as she led me to the academy.

When we got there there was a whole bunch of people filling the courtyard. They all talked and chattered. "Alright we're now beginning the auditions! Remember the play is tomorrow!"

(The next day)

I sat on mybed in a ball as I watched the sun set.
I can't believe Hinata got the main part with Tesogare! And there's a... kissing scene. I put my hand over my chest as my heart raced. "And I get to be generic background ninja #3!" I said with sarcasim. "Hakaku! It's time!" Kakashi yelled outside my door. I sighed and got dressed in the old leaf village ninja outfit which was like the sound clothes.

(30 minutes later)

We were at the famous battle between the leaf village and theland of waves. I faked a battle with another villager in the clothes of the land of waves. The room was packed full with at least fifty people. Hinata stood in front of a window cutout watching the battle. She wore the robes of the princess of the land of waves. Tesogare was the prince of waves. "How frightning! The battle has come so near to us." Hinata said into her speaker which was attached to her robes. "Indeed. But have no fear. For I shall protect you from them!" Tesogare said heroicaly. I fakely stabbed the ninja and looked at the balcony. "I shall make sure they do not harm you! Now come my princess." I squeezed my hand into a fist and twitched as I shook with rage.

(Yume pov)

I sat up front with Kakashi and Naruto flanking me. I leaned up to Kakashi and whispered, "He's loosing it!" Kakashi was unfazed then he leaned down and whispered, "I hope he doesn't kill Tesogare."
What makes him so certain?

(Hakaku pov)

Hinata began to scoot closer to Tesogare. I felt myself starting to turn red with rage until I couldn't take it anymore. I jumped up on the balcony and heard gasps from the crowd. "That's enough! I'm ending this here!" I yelled and pointed at Tesogare.

(Yumi pov)

I leaned in towards Kakashi. "Is this part of the play?" He shook his head. "This is real but noone knows it. I wonder if Naruto..." We looked over at Naruto. "Wow! I love this play." We sighed.

(Hakaku pov)

I pulled out an acutal kunei. Tesogare stared at me as I got ready to fight. He took out his kunei and got ready. "Stay back." I said looking to Hinata. I still didn't know that this looked like the show. Tesogare and I jumped at eachother. Our kunei slammed into eachother and sent sparks flying. "I-I will defeat you!" I spat as I ducked under his kunei and rammed my shoulder into his gut sending him back. As he flew threw the air. I activated my byakugon. "Stop! Why are you doing this?!" Hinata yelled. I stood there a minute. "B-Because I..." I sighed and channeled everything else away. "Because I love you!" I yelled. Everyone suddenly rang out cheering. Hinata was a bright red as Tesogare kneeled down. "This day you have defeated us! I offer a truce between the hidden leaf and the land of waves!"

(5 minutes later)

I stood against the wall outside in the night staring at the sky and in my regular clothes again. I had one foot against the wall with my arms crossed. My byakugon was unactive. Yume came running over waving. "Hakaku!" I looked down and nodded still standing against the wall. "Great job even if you did fake almost everything." She said chuckling. I didn't reply. "Um, H-Hakaku?" We both looked by the corner of the academy. "I'll leave you two alone." Yumi said smiling and walked away. Hinata was dressed in her normal clothes again. We could hear the faint chatter of the actors and audience talking and laughing. We were in back of the academy while in front there were torches stuck in the ground. An afterparty in other words. She stood there a moment. I just stared up at the sky. "At the play..." She muttered. I grunted. "Beautiful huh? Each star shines with it's own brightness..." I said lost in thought. "Did you mean it?" She asked.I nodded slowly. "Prove it." She muttered. I stayed where I was. "Am I that unappealing?" Then I was suddenly in front of her. "What happened to you Hinata? you used to be the girl to blush whenever someone talked to her." I said smiling and thinking back. "Is that the way you like me?" She asked looking at the ground. "No I liked
you not the way you were. I miss you Hinata. Yes, I meant what I said. Just think on this." I said and turned but stopped. "You know what the monks once told me? 'We are all like stars, we all shine eventually, some brighter than others and sooner but in the end we all shine.' I constantly think back to them. Well for now I'll see you." I said and walked off with my hands in my pockets.
